How do you make sure your ingredients have not been tested on animals?
For over 40 years, The Body Shop has been passionately committed to cruelty-free beauty. We have never tested our ingredients or products on animals—and never will. We carefully source all ingredients from suppliers who meet our strict cruelty-free standards. As pioneers in the fight against animal testing, The Body Shop played a key role in securing bans on cosmetic animal testing in the UK and Europe. We were also the first company to earn the Leaping Bunny certification from Cruelty Free International, the only globally recognized symbol that helps consumers confidently choose products free from animal testing.
What is your recycling/eco policy?
At The Body Shop®, we prioritize sustainability by using recycled materials and ensuring our delivery packaging is 100% recyclable. Look for the recycle logo on our products to support eco-friendly choices. Our vision is to create products that protect both people and the environment.

Shipping
How long will it take for my products to be delivered?
Shipping Options:
- Economy Shipping: Order by 12pm EST for delivery within 5-8 business days.
- Express Shipping: Order by 12pm EST for delivery within 2 business days.
We use both FedEx for and UPS for shipping. Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Please allow up to 2 business days for order processing. We strive to provide accurate delivery estimates for your convenience. For the latest updates, check the tracking info in your confirmation email. The Body Shop is not responsible for carrier delays.
How are special delivery items shipped?
All hazardous items with atomizers or sprays, including Body Mists, Room Sprays, Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, and select Gifts, must be shipped via road service only—air express is not available and are unable to be shipped to PO Boxes. Please ensure a physical delivery address is provided for all hazardous products. At The Body Shop, your safety and satisfaction are our priority.
Where do you deliver?
Currently, we ship orders only to street addresses and PO Boxes within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
We do not deliver to US Territories such as Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Minor Outlying Islands, or the Virgin Islands.
International shipping is not available at this time, but you may find a dedicated website for your country.
To switch to a different country site, simply go to the bottom left corner of the homepage and click on "International markets" to select your location.
Can I change my delivery date?
Once your order is placed, delivery dates cannot be changed. If you choose express delivery, we’ll contact you with your delivery details and offer the option to reschedule. Shipping is handled by FedEx or USPS, so date changes aren’t available.
Shipping Options:
Economy Shipping: Order by 12pm EST for delivery within 4-8 business days.
Express Shipping: Order by 12pm EST to receive your items within 2 business days.
How can I change my delivery address?
Before Placing Your Order
On the checkout page, if you want to update your delivery address to one you've saved before, just click the ""Edit Address"" button right in the center of the page.
After Your Order Is Placed
If your order hasn’t been picked or packed yet, you can contact us to request a delivery address change. Our warehouse moves fast to get your order to you quickly, so please call us ASAP at 844-602-2278.
While we can’t guarantee changes after ordering, we’ll do our best to help. Please double-check your delivery address before completing your purchase.
Payment
What payment types do you take?
Pay easily with major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also welcome PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay for a seamless, eco-friendly checkout experience.
Are my credit or debit card details saved?
If you have an account with The Body Shop and have shopped online before, you can choose to save your payment details for faster checkout. When you opt in, your payment information (excluding the CCV) is securely stored and ready for your next order. To update or change your saved payment details, simply visit the My Account section anytime.
Can I change my payment details once my order has been submitted?
Once your order is submitted, payment details cannot be changed. If you need to cancel your order, please visit our cancellation policy for more information.
Why was my order payment rejected?
There are several reasons your payment may not have gone through. Please ensure your card details are entered correctly and that the billing address matches the one on your order. Remember, the card must be issued in the USA.

How can I amend my delivery address when checking out via PayPal?
When you choose PayPal at checkout on The Body Shop website, your delivery address will automatically be taken from your default PayPal address. After selecting PayPal and logging in, please update your delivery address if you want your order sent to a different location.
Returns
How long do I have to return an item?
At The Body Shop, we stand behind the quality of our products. If you're not completely satisfied, you can return your purchase within 30 days.
Refunds for credit or debit card purchases will be issued back to the original card. Please note, Gift Cards, and Product Samples are non-refundable and cannot be replaced. Your satisfaction and commitment to ethical beauty are our priority.
Some or all of my order is damaged, what should I do?
We're sorry to hear your order arrived damaged. If any items are broken or imperfect, please contact us immediately to resolve the issue. Reach out via chat or call 844-602-2278.
When calling, please have your customer reference number, names and quantities of damaged products, packer number (four-digit code on your invoice or package), and batch code (starts with "X" on the product, e.g., XM102LA) ready.

I've opened my product, can I still return it and get a refund?
Yes! With your receipt, you can easily get a refund through our simple returns process. At The Body Shop, we’re here to make your experience smooth and fair.
How long will it take to get my refund?
Once we receive your returned items, refunds typically appear in your bank account within 3-5 business days, depending on your card issuer, but can take up to 14 days. If you paid with PayPal, your refund is usually processed the same business day.
